From July 31 to August 3, 2014 I organize a trip during 4 days (3 nights) to make a tour of Mont Ruan. This course spends much in Switzerland. We will cross fantastic locations, in the best part of the Swiss and French Alps. We will sleep 3 nights in 3 refuges (Vogealle, Salanfe and Emosson).

Departure from village « Crot » 818m (Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval).
Arrival at Feulatière 918m (salvagny).
We will put a car at the Feulatière. On arriving, drivers will look for the other cars at Crot. Distance between 2 points 4 km.

Day 1 : Thursday 31.7.2014: From parking of Crot to Refuge of Vogealles, via Pointe de Bellegarde (2514m):
Positive gradient : 1696m.
Negative gradient : 547m
Distance : about 14 km
Time of walking : about 7h
Technical difficulties: Crossing Scree from Salvadon to Boit-Aux-letters by chains. Important gradient.

Day 2 Friday 1.8. 2014 from Refuge of Vogealle to Auberge de Salanfe, via Tête des Ottans (2549m) :
Positive gradient : 1 364 m
Negative gradient : 1 368 m
Distance: 14.90 km
Time of walking : 6h30
Back walking time: 6h45
Technical difficulties: Ladders at Col des Otans

Day 3 Saturday 2.8 : From Refuge of Salanfe to Cabane de Vieux Emosson, via Col d’Emaney (2462m) and Col de Fénestrale (2451m) :
Positive gradient : 1 459 m
Negative gradient : 1 424 m
Distance: 14.90km
Time of walking : 7h15
Back walking time: 7h

Day 4, Sunday 3.8 : From Cabane de Vieux Emosson to Feulatière (Salvagny) via Cheval Blanc (2831m) Lac de Plan de Buet, Crêtes de Grenier and Refuge de Gronairon. :
Positive gradient : 1 459mètres
Negative gradient : 1 424mètres +900m
Distance: 14.90 km+4 km
Time of walking : 7h15+1h30
Back walking time: 7h+
Technical difficulties: Negative gradient and distance down important

Maximum : 12 people. (8 people have already registered). For experimented and sporty hikers. Appointment : 7:30 at Gaillard

Equipment: Good shoes, drink, hat, gloves, warm and waterproof clothes, bedsheet, headlamp
Formalities: The newcomers are asked to fill out the registration form http://assoc.pagespro-orange.fr/rando-74/Adhesion.htm and deliver it to the organizer on Sunday morning.
We meet at Gaillard, behind the customs of Moillesullaz, in front of the Librairie de France at 7:30. Inscription is obligatory.

The hike is organised by the small hiking association Oxygene 74 http://assoc.pagespro-orange.fr/rando-74 There is a participation fee of 5 Euro for a daily license of the French hiking federation FFRP.
Passengers in the vehicle pay directly to the driver € 0.10 per km.
