...Getting out for a few hours, but nothing too sporty...
(not 'Les Grottes de Vallorbe', but close-by)

Most people know about the Grottes de Vallorbe (if not, google it), but we will be visiting the other 2, less known, 'Fairy caves' near-by.

Route: Starts with an easy stroll along the river Orbe, before going up through the woods. For the cave, you'll need to wear clothes that you don't mind getting a bit dirty and come with headlamps or torches for the cave itself.

No specialised equipment is needed & you'll stay 'dry' even if it is raining outside, although it is wet and damp inside. There is NO crouching or squeezing through rocks involved in the main part of the 1st cave, as you can stand up straight and walk. The optional 'main cave-bis' does involve squeezing through a 2m section to head back to the entrance. The second and separate cave starts with a 2m squeeze at the start and then you can stand again...

RDVZ: Leaving the large car park (Rte. de la Raz), just 100m away from the 'restaurant de la source' at 12h30.

PICNIC: Bring what you want with something to share. We will try to light a fire and have a mini bbq to heat sausages.
