LOL! You can expect to pay up to 3 x more than in NA. If you or anyone you know are travelling there soon, get them there.That's your best bet.

For used gear I don't know of any websites here. You can try the classifieds section on here glocals. For new gear the big nationwide stores will have the best prices: Athleticum, Ochsner, Aesbach. The best deals are made in February though. These stores also rent gear. You can also A) buy used gear that they rented in previous years or B)rent new gear for the season and then buy it at the end of the season (pay only the difference).

I would advise you to buy NEW boots, have them fitted properly... skiing in boots that dont fit exactly is a nightmare and the best way to go off the sport...apart from getting blisters etc... they'll last you for 10+ years....

Skis.... Most rental shops sell last seasons ex rental skis at discounted prices... end of season gets the best discounts obviously.

it's like Ebay but for Switzerland, so you can buy all used things that you can need. this website is only in French or German. But it's most of the time really cheap.

What size shoes are you and how tall + experienced skier?

Skis Volkl for intermediate to good skier. And for boots I would like Charlie highly recommend buy new ones...it is more important than new skis!
