I just recently arrived from Sri Lanka to start a new job with the International Red Cross. Talk about temperature shock! Anyhow, I am doing the painful Geneva apartment search, and it looks as if I will be here through Christmas. I do not have a car, or skis, but I am thinking about a few day escape over the holiday to either a cross-country or down hill site where I can take a break from the city, rent some skies and loose myself.  Any ideas?
