Skiing Lessons

Hi,

Im thinking of offering some skiing lessons this season and am keen to see who would be interested.

I have been skiing since I was a small boy and spent almost all of last season in Canada where I qualified as a CSIA Level 1 ski instructor.

The qualification is not officially recongnised here in Swiss or in France so the lessons are not official nor would you get any of the other benifits of the official courses such as jumping the lift queue.

However I would be alot cheaper and more flexible than regualr lessons.

Cost for a morning lesson would be something like this; Lift to the resort, full day ski pass, proper lunch then lift home after the last lift shuts.

Anyone interested please let me know.

Hi Dom

This is exactly what hubby and I are looking for. We are complete novices, and want to take full advantage of living here. Yey!

Hi Ann,
I am OK with giving 2 people lessons at the same time.
Let's keep in touch and once the snow comes we can arrange something.

Hi Dom

That's great, we'd be perfectly happy if it was part of a group too.

We look forward to meeting you in the near future. Roll on the snow!

Hi Dom,

I would be interested as well.  Not a complete novice but can always use some help.  I am available anytime during the week.  If on weekend my wife would like to come along as well.  Keep me updated.

Hi All,

Feel free to send me private messages once the snow starts so we can set something up.

I should also say that I work during the week so will only be skiing on weekends.

I would be interested too, so I will contact you when the snow starts. An idea might be to start up a beginners ski group?

Hi Dom - sounds like a bargain!!

I'm BASI 3 qualified Ski Instructor and BASP Certified Ski Guide and would love a proper lunch, ski pass and lift there and back in exchange for a couple of hours ski teaching in the morning (normally just do if for free - more fool me!)

So please let me know if you want to get together and maybe we could do a joint venture - seems like you have loads of interest.

Cool idea! Cool

PS:  What's a "proper lunch" - I'm used to a sandwich on the chair lift inbetween lessons - I dream of a proper lunch!!

I live in Lausanne and will happily go to any resort near by, though I know Verbier and Cham best so recomend them.

I dont think I can do group lessons as that will likely upset the official ski schools who are not keen on any form of competition. 2 people would be the max.

By the way, I've also had a friend express interest in doing some lessons on a similar basis for snowboarders.

Carolyn,  A "proper lunch" would be something hot and cooked in one of the on mountain restaurants. We can talk about perhaps doing something together next time we bump into eachother.

Right, taking bookings now.

I'm likely to spend the first half of Jan in Chamonix and the second half in Verbier. Then the lessons are over.

So if you are interested in some informal ski lessons for a very reasonable trade (lift pass, lunch and possibly transport assistance) send me a private message with dates that interest you (Weekdays or weekends).
