When do the ski lifts open?

Does anyone know of a website that lists when the various ski-stations open for the 2011/12 season?  Even the individual resort webites are very vague about this.

I quite fancied a trip tomorrow (Nov 26th) and the only places I can find that are open are Tignes, Zermatt or Saas Fee.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Simon

I guess this website could be helpful:

http://snow.myswitzerland.com/wispo.html

but as you probably noticed it is not raining (or snowing) in the whole Switzerland since a while (they wrote on yesterday's 20minuten that it's not raining since 31 days), then I guess the only places that are open are where a glacier is (Zermatt, Engelberg ...).

Ciaociao

Verbier's Lac de Vaux will be open from 26th onwards.  It has been covered by the snow cannons ready for this weekend.

simon, davos klosters opened today (25th Nov) two slopes- one at parsenn and one at Jakobshorn. Skipass for free if you stay a night there until 23rd dec. but webcams show no snow outside the opened slope. just a white band really...

For your iphones download the free app, "SwissSnow"... it has every Swiss resort on it, plus piste maps, plus resort info like opening dates, costs etc.

(obviously it doesnt cover the French resorts)

Thanks for all the replies guys.

We went to Val Claret (Tignes) on saturday and it was brilliant! Took about 2 1/2 hours to get there (from home in Geneva) and the usual 45min of cocking about on the lifts to get to the top but was well worth it.  Snow on the glacier was great and they even had a resort run open with artificial snow.

Lets hope we get some decent snow soon so the resorts closer to GVA can open!
