I know people who rent from Migros - skis and boots for the whole season from 300 CHF (I think its the Big MMM in Crissiers).

But always rent in the resort if you're only going for a couple of days and don't want to commit to renting for the whole season or buying.

If the equipment isn't right or your boots starting hurting by lunchtime, then you only have to get down to the resort to change them and your day isn't ruined.

And there's very little difference in cost.  Plus some/most ski shops will sell you the ex-rental equipment at a very good price.

Enjoy Cool

Thank you very much guys for your tips.

Renting equipment for the season is really cheap but first I need to try different skis and boots and figure out if I really like skiing. I had a long period of only snowboarding.

Have a lovely week-end skiing, snowshoeing, chilling...Wink

If you are going to Megève then the rental of skis and baton are 15 euro per day from Skimium.
