Actually I know a Englishman in Zurich that does teach, I could maybe ask him if he'd come to Basel to teach if there is enough interest?

There are some painting/drawing classes in English going on in the Migrosklubschule near the SBB train station. Might be worth checking out.

It seems no one found a proper class in Basel, I am also looking for a place to restart sketching and paining but still couldn't find. 

we all can set a workshop and start sketching together if you are interested.

Basel Art Room opens in January for the English speaking community in Basel.  Check out website (www.baselartroom.com).  We will be introducing classes in spring 2013 including sketching, painting and crafting but initially we are focussing on getting the creative community established and finding out demand for specific areas.  Happy to answer any questions.

I've came accross this website and was interested in the big need/much interest in Art classes in BASEL. I am an qualified and experieced Art Teacher and artist/sculptor, living very close to Basel. I'm considering presenting ongoing Art Classes in Basel (incl. rawing, Painting and Sculpture).

If enough people are interested, I could  start a group in Basel. II'm planing to teach the workshops in English but I can also understand German and Dutch. Basic Drawing Skills is one of my courses and it takes the form of a Workshop. I believe Drawing skills is the Basic of most art forms and very important to learn and practice.
