Exchange my native french against english (Geneva)

Hello,

I would like to exchange my french against english.

I am no beginner but I need to improve my fluency and looking to do that with an english speaker.

I am a native from Geneva and I am flexible in terms of day/time.

Cheers,

Wanda

Hey,

I'm always looking for people to practice French with:) I'm on an intermediate level and I need lots of practice!

I live 30min from Geneva, so it's not extremely convenient to come, but I often come on the weekends and have extra time. Let me know if you're interested!

Thanks,

Chelsea

Hello Chelsea and Wanda!

I am interested in the language exchange too! I'm an intern in Geneva. I'm native English/Chinese speaker. My french level is pretty advanced and I'm fluent, however, I'd like to be able to discuss more in the areas of politics, economy, and other things to pick up more vocab.

Let me know if any of you are interested!

Weekdays are fine, it's just that my schedule is a bit disjointed during the weekdays. Weeknights are often better than afternoons. What's your schedule like?

Hi Chelsea,

No worries, I am quite flexible. We could meet a weekday around 6:00 or 7:00 pm. Let me know if it could fit for you and we could organise it.

Actually, it would be more like 8pm for me. Wednesday afternoons might be ok, too. For the weekends, it would just depend on my week-to-week plans, but I can certainly plan something in advance!

And I don't know if it's possible on this website, but maybe we could start a message/email thread to practice in between meetings? And when replying, we can both correct the message(s) in our native languages and respond in the language we're practicing in. Does that make sense? What do you think?

I'm thinking facebook would probably be the best/easiet format, if we're all willing to be friends, because it's easily accessible and more suited to group conversations. What do you think?

Alright, I'll be the ringmaster. Anyone who's interested, message me a link to your facebook page and I'll add you and start a mass message, and then you can all add each other.

Tina- Whaaat! Come on! I went and I had to drive half an hour in the snow to get there! Bundle up, darling, cuz you will be miserable if you never get out! :)

Lol, tell that to my California skin. I've been living there for the past 9 years. I won't be here this coming saturday, going back to Lyon for a weekend. Anytime weekday evenings is fine, if you want to get together!

This week, I only have Wednesday evening free (and afternoon, as well). Next week is a little different.

I'll be in Geneva this afternoon and getting a coffee at a cafe with a friend who's learning both French and English around 5pm if anyone wants to join and have some practice. Send me a message and I'll give you my cell number if you're interested.

So, Tina and I are free this Wednesday evening to meet up and practice, but we need at least one native French speaker. Wanda, are you free? It would be around 20h or 20h30. There's a cafe by Cornavin that's always pretty quiet and therefore great for conversation where we could meet. Or, if you have another suggestion, that's fine.
