French / German Exchange
I need to improve my spoken German. I have a decent theoretical basis (learnt it at school for 7 years), but very little practice.

I am a native French speaker, with excellent linguistic and teaching skills.

If you are a German native speaker (Swiss German with excellent "hoch Deutsch" would be fine) and would be ready to exchange German conversation/tips against same in French, let me know! (Geneva region)

Thanks.

Hi Grandson,

are you still looking for somebody for a german/french exchange? I am looking for somebody that can help me with my french. Unfortunately I speak very, very little. I took some classes at university but that was years ago and I seem to have forgotten the little I knew. I would like to practice simple, daily conversations like ordering food, buying things in a kiosk etc. Quite boring, I know.....

I have done tandems before (but not french obviously) and I thought it was really helpful and fun!

I am from Germany and speak clear Hochdeutsch. I will stay in geneva till the end of August.

If you are interested and dont mind my poor french, we could give it a try.

Maria

Hi,

are you still looking for somebody for a german/french exchange? I am looking for somebody that can help me with my German.

I have taken 7 years at school but never spoken a word since almost 20 years. I have heard some german spoken recently and was surprised I could catch up words and whole meaning. Like you, I would like to practice simple, daily conversations with people speaking slowly.

I have never done tandems before so will be happy to discover this way of refreshing old memories and I am sure it could be fun.

I am from France and speak french with no accent. My second fluent language is english to help for translation if needed.

To replay your words, if you are interested and dont mind my poor german, we could give it a try.

Hi Hobie,

sorry for replying so late, the glocals messages always end up in my SPAM folder. I already have a tandem with grandson and although I would like to get more opportunities to practice french I think more than one tandem per week would be too much.

But good luck finding a tandem partner (there are loads of germans here that need t improve their rench) and of course good luck with your german!!
