It might be a bit far away for you, but I've found the German conversation tuesdays very helpful, and also fun. They are held in Zurich. I did manage to organize something similar a few times where I live, but in the end it was more practical to just go to the big city. Perhaps some events like that are held near where you live, or a kind native speaker in your area could try setting one up, or you could try making the trip to Zurich once to check it out. At least in my case, I've found it's helped my German tremendously.
