Hello alexandra,

for learning dialect, it will be easier for you to learn machreqi ( eastern dialect) than maghrabi ( western dialect- dialect), and also with mashreqi accent you will get understood every where in the arabic countries, even in morrocco, but not the opposite, because morrocon is very hard to understand for those outside morrocco.

The most common dialect almost understood everywhere in the arabic countries is egyptian or lebanese.

do you have a base in classical arabic ?

Hello,

Yes I studied classical Arabic for 4 years, and Moroccan dialect for 2 years, and am only interested in continuing with Moroccan dialect (even if its not understood everywhere)
