I tried to join a party i think and it said that I was too young for it so I don't know what kind of requirements there are for the activities around glocals.

Generally its all ages for activities I would say apart from a few age speciific groups. Keep looking at the things to do section and Im sure you will find something.

Well, can you give us a rough idea of how old you are?  Say, mid-twenties, early thirties, etc.

Or are you still in your teens?

This was a social experiment that I wanted to do on "internet" for my final presentation on friendship and society. I focused on expats who are in majority at glocals. I didn't want to disclose this as it was part of the sample gathering. Thank you all for your responses and even the ones who didn't ;)

But it's true that I wanted to go to a glocals party with my friends few weeks ago and I was refused . As we were all 21-22 years old and the party was strictly for 23+ i believe or 22+. I am 22 years old. However if anyone is interested in hanging out or going to the car show together, I may be able to get a couple of tickets so let me know ;)

I'm up for the Geneva car show. Put it up here in glocals as an event, tikcets to those are not that costly anyhow. :)

Let me make a new thread about this and see who's up then we can figure out the date and time.

You say you were refused to a party activity because of being under the age requested, which is by the way, 23+ on this site.  You also should bear in mind that your profile is not viewable to others.  You may find if you are more open with others that they will reciprocate.

Wow, i talked about something completely different. I seem to be getting some positive feedback. Can probably write a research paper about this now 

It was just a gentle leg-pull that I couldn’t resist, so am happy you took it in the same spirit.

And I agree, we all have to make an effort to reach out to others.

However, if someone’s on a very tight budget or work schedule, that can limit their chances of making new friends.

Just shows how easy it is to make a mountain ...
