Hello Geneva folk,
I've been in your city for 3 months now and well, frankly, my French is appalling. I have sufficient vocabulary these days to make really impressive mistakes and only realise when the blank look opposite turns to a smile for all the wrong reasons. I have yet to ask for une bouteille of de l'eau gasolina, but it's only a matter of time really.
So... if some kind souls of Gallic descent or knowledge are interested in meeting, I would be really pleased if you could explain how your language works. In exchange I am extremely happy to offer constructive (or unconstructive) advice on your English and promise to keep a straight face.
I find my French becomes much more lucid and animated over a beer in the evening, but sober lunchtimes are also good for me if you happen to be anywhere near Rive.
If anyone of the 25543 members out there would be interested, do ping me a message!
cheers

Hey!!! I can help you with French sober, even to teach you Parisian accent and also with animated French practise at pub:) In exchange I would be glad to have some English conversation and to know some English speaking person (before coming to Geneva I was living and working in Moscow and my Russian is appalling but, as u, I was very lucid and talkative with vodka;)
Let me know, and let's have a drink as I just arrived here in Geneva last monday and it's not so fun for the moment :(
Cheers,
Thomas.
