your french for my english
Apr 18, 2009 @ 22:47
Hi! So I am looking for someone to exchange french in return for my english. I do not speak any french but I think the best way to learn is by speaking with someone as opposed to taking classes. I would prefer a native speaker of french :)

Hi Candace.
Sorry to tell you that but if you want to learn a language, doing it without a proper teacher will be very frustrating and, if you stay a few years in Geneva, you will find yourself in the same situation as some of my neighbours who hardly know more than "bonjour", "merci",
"au revoir". No pain no gain! This applies to all areas of life. Start with a beginner's class and then start speaking.
Bon courage!
Richard
