I guess there is a huge distance in prices for women and men. A normal haircut for guys only costs 50fr. in Geneva. And I know a lot of guys who do it at home by themselves to save money & time.
So those Salons only lean on ladies!

From their point of view, it's probably not insane, since there are people willing to pay for it.
What to say about the mental state of those willing to pay for it, I don't know.
But there are evidently people in Geneva who have so much money that they don't know what to do with it.

If you check the website for women its max 120chf for long hair, i am not sure where you got 185chf?
