A good way to get back in shape!
I used to be super sporty back in the day, but life happened, I got married, I got lazy. I've been wanting to get back in shape but with little to no spare cash, the gyms here are out of my price range. A Belgian friend told me try running again and pointed me to a start to run program. If you're American and have ever looked into running there is a couch to 5k program that is great, but you have to time yourself, which was annoying for me. A radio station in Flanders put out a podcast for a running program for 0-5k, and there is another for 5-10k. Links here:

I started the 0-5k just about 5 weeks ago and am happy with it; it really is great for beginners, like if you DON'T RUN at all...it starts with an easy ratio of walking to running. There is a podcast, and also lessons you can download for a generic MP3 player. It means you don't have to time yourself, the music will change and the radio host tells you what to do. I don't speak any Flemish, but I can follow it. There is also an excel spreadsheet that tells you what you will be doing. Just thought some others of you out there looking for a cheap way to get back in shape might like it too!!
