A perfect cup of chai (a la Amna)

I can't abide by watery, dishwasher-like tea. I am going to share a recipe that is very popular in the sub-continent (where chai-drinkers abound). I hope you will share yours too!

In boiling water brew a teaspoon of strong tea leaves (or a tea bag of PG tips) for a couple of minutes. While brewing, add a whole green cardamom (for a stronger taste, break the pod open), a tiny sliver of cinnamon, a very small pinch of salt, and your preferred sweetener (I like honey). Finally, add a dollop of evaporated milk (not the same as condensed milk).

Drink copiously.

How do you drink your tea?

My tea resembles most men I meet.

Weak, wishy-washy, pale and not very interesting :-)

I like the analogy Carolyn. The ideal cup of tea and the ideal man: strong yet sweet, dark yet delicately flavoured. And they should both revive you and make you feel better!
