Acrylic Infils

Hi ladies,

Do you know anywhere in Geneva that does Acrylic infills, and have good NailArt/3D designs?

I normally do my nails in the UK on my monthly trips. But it will be nice to know a place where I can get them done in an "emergency"

Thanks in advance

LOL! Glad to have that effect on you! Thanks Casuistik. They have really good gel designs. I hope they do acrylic too. Will have to ask.

Superglue works for me when I get a broken nail that is over the fleshy tip of the finger, stops the bleeding. I also use on gashes from Via ferrata or rock climbs, just stops the bleeding immediatly and no need too use up all my collectable 'hello kitty' bandaids. Just one is good too keep the gap closed.

Oh honey, it's been hell trying to find someone that does acrylic out here. Gel is the most common but it's not as sturdy as my natural nails are now longer than most extensions and since type a lot on a keyboard, gel won't last a week. I even have the powder and solvent but it's always better when someone else does it for you.

In the UK you can get a full set of acrylics with design for £35.00 and infils from around £20. So everytime I go back I get them done.

I wouldn't mind checking out what your friend in Lausanne can do and I will keep on the search in Geneva. Thanks for replying!

Thanks Dave, but you are right. Laughing Superglue does work for a couple of days if the nail breaks or the adornment stones come off but it doesn't look too pretty. Besides I'd like not to spend 2 hours in of my UK weekend in the nail salon if I can help it

Totally agree with you my fellow sister of the Ya Ya "Nail-hood! With the amount it costs in Geneva, it's probably still a saving to book an easyjet flight to London and get them done there!Laughing

When it comes to nails, the Vietnamese ladies know what they are doing and they're so creative as well.

Yes please PM me with details. Casuistik is being ever so helpful too ;) Thank you!

i always had acrylic nails, and then geneva happened. after countless and expensive disappointments, i found stella beaute.( http://www.stella-beaute.ch/ ) For a very reasonable price of 80 chf they do refills. i tried their gel because i was fed up with everything else. and it lasted and lasted and lasted. never had a broken nail. but they dont do designs and fancy things. you should try it, i can only recommend.

Hi Ladies!  :)

Yes, I only work with gels.

I used to have acryl nails like 10 yrs ago. Based on my personal experience I found gel much more stronger (like not breaking that easily as acryl). Just done a gel nails for someone about 1.5week ago.She is working as housekeeper cleaning like 2-3houses/day, her hands are always in the water etc..her nails are looking great and she was also surprised that they are still on even though she banged them a few times-not even cracked- Laughing

Have a nice sunny day Ladies -and Gentlemens Wink-

I'm sorry but I've had my nails done for the past 20 years and I find acrylic wrap far more durable than gel.. In my experience, gels don't hold adornments and 3D designs as well as acrylic. Gels are nice and glossy but I love my crazy designs. When I go back to the UK this weekend I will have my acrylic infils, the last time they were done was last month (over 4 weeks) and they haven't broken and I type like a mad hatter. There's no way Gels could have withstood that amount of pounding on the keyboard.

Well I guess we are not the same.  To someone acryl holds better than gel and vica versa. :)

It took 2 hours in total (all done by hand, not a spray gun in sight!) but I had a pedicure done concurrently too so not to bad! It was done at the Nail Bar in Maidstone, Kent. If you ever find yourself in the UK, go there. Anna is Vietnamese. A bit of a chatterbox but, boy, is she an artist!

Oh and blame my account suspension for the lateness :)
