Because you use <> a lot? Ahhh the youngsters and their sign language ;)

QWERTZ is hardly as shocking as AZERTI plus you can assign whatever keyboard you want from software and for the signs that you use frequently you don't even need to look at the keys.

Cenovis is a good alterntive to Marmite, Vegemite and their like.

May 23, 12 12:27

At the risk of turning this into a "love it or hate it" forum - Cenovis is NOT a "good alternative" - its not EVEN an "alternative". Yell

And the Coop now sells Marmite (and their own brand T Bags are just as good as any other's I've found - and I'm a great tea drinker).

Just bring an extra suitcase full of patience (plus a grammar book "would of" ??? - purlease!!).

You're absoltely right! Cenovis is not an alternative: it's the original stuff. Marmite and Vegemite are just poor substitutes called "alternatives" so that they do no look too bad. Cool

Try the word "derivatives" it fits better.  And like a derivative it's in-pure (not the real thing) yet often highly leverage to make you believe you're on the path to a better trade off.

I was joking Maurice, not trying to demonstrate my command of English or give a marketing lesson.

Derivative: something that comes from something else; a substance that is made from another substance. That’s not what I was reffering to.

Alternative: offering or expressing a choice. OK, the word "alternative" should be used before a noun but "good alternative to Marmite or Vegemite" was was implicit.

But thanks for the lecture anyway  Wink
