Does anyone have any practical advice about moving to Paris e.g. finding a flat?  Any good or bad real estate or relocation agencies?   I'm looking for a  flat in mid Nov. (to occupy by mid Dec.) either 30 minutes walking distance or 30 minutes Metro ride from Place de la Republique.

All  other advice and experiences (good, bad or mundane) would be appreciated.
