I'll be working at CERN next year starting of 5 january, but I need a hotel to be staying at until I get rented a private appartment. Anyone have any advice?
Preferrable average price, close to CERN

Might be a silly question but have you tried the CERN hostel? Other than that it is probably best to try a hotel on the French side in St Genis. There are a few there including Kyriad, Premiere Class or Balladins all local to CERN. I can't say what they are like though.
