Hmm when i was a kid I was really fascinated by small countries like San Marino or Andorra or Lichenstein. So if I have time I would be interested.

But can you give some more details about possible dates and about the trip?

No plans as of such. Id prefer to go in late April, by car if someone has one. Leave Friday night and stop in a town on the coast. Spend half a day at that town and then drive on to Andorra Saturday afternoon. Spend a night in Andorra and head back on Sunday afternoon! I just mainly wanted to see if anyone was interested first. Alternatively we could fly to toulouse or barcelona spend a day there and a day in andorra (its a 3 hour drive).

I think I like the option that includes Toulouse or Barcelona by plane. I havent been yet in either of the cities. If it was by car the whole way do you have an idea of how many hours it is from Geneva? Sounds like a long journey.

Oh Europeans... haha I think its 8-9 hours. So for me thats not that far. Im very used to driving 16 hours in a weekend just to go to the next city. But as I have to look after my little Europeans we can look into flying. To be honest I think toulouse as I want to go to Barcelona on another weekend and spend the whole weekend there.

but Kamalakannan wants to go by car! Also it would nice to have another woman on the trip, so I hope Zusanna can come!

Any mode of transport is fine for me but i prefer Car rather than Flying... You all decide and lets plan for that

As an European I would prefer to fly. A weekend late April is OK for me. Toulouse if very nice city. Let me know once you decide something. I checked also the train but it takes ages.

Well you know how it is... why walk if you can ride, why ride if you can fly? Why fly if you can...

so yeh, anyway.

Tolouse is more than 6 hours by train and i think its not even direct and as we have easy jet from Geneva it doesnt make sense to use any other option.

I have to say though that I am in a situation now such that I cannot tell with certainty if I will have time at the end of April. And I think it would be good for all the people interested to meet up and see how we get along beforehand.

I too cant make it after 21 April...17 & 18 April is fine for me... if you feel its too long choose some other small country and let it work it out, I am already in for any plans.. you ppl decide

Well Andorra is only 550 klm one way, which is about 8 to 9 hours of driving, or a couple of cans of RedBull and 2 stretch stops. For a simple weekend, not worth the saddle sores, but for 4 days, definitely do-able.  Taking 4 days would allow for side trips, like the Landoc wine region (Montpellier), or a run up through the Pyrénées.

Don't forget to keep some time for shopping in Andorra... It's a duty free zone and I heard prices are very attractive . I agree with Poster... long weekend is a better option than 2 days run there and back.

Hello again! I dont have the time to go on one of the long weekends as I already have trips planned. What i suggest is going on the 11-13th of may. At the moment flights are 139CHF with easyjet to toulouse. We could stay in toulouse the first night and then travel to andorra the next day? is anyone keen for this?

That is quite far ahead for me which means I have no idea what I will do at that time or even if I will still be in Geneva...

Ok so its been confusing. Turns out i have a work conference in may when i suggested. So my final offer is a bit further away but there is nothing like planning for cheap tickets! 15-17th of June. So now that you have a lot of time in advance you will be able to plan! Sorry its not sooner, but to tell you the truth i am in no rush just wanted to see if someone would come with me. Let me know if you are interested! Tickets to toulouse are only 110CHF at this time!
