I was a member and have to admit I do not like what that site stands for. Nothing against the people on it who are mostly great, but the general feel of that site is way too excluding and even snobbish for me.

suggests that GoL has many of the relevant ASW features but it also includes an open membership and a true club mindset during the events at least.

So GoL has the open layer, and through the friend list and communities based on activities and such it certainly already hosts a number of more "closed" communities.

Well I would say it is still friendly first. And this value is certainly going to last more than many others :))

The spirit is usually different: aSW is mainly to "reconnect" with people you usually know around the world, and also to share info about travel and business.
GoL is all about making friends! :-D
(even if I met some of my best friends on both networks) :-)

Now concerning the party, why don't we all meet up before and go together? Luca, you seem very intersted! I'm sure we can convince Mister Sark to join also. And as for Stef_granny, I'm sure he will be up for partying! ;-)
