Cheap hotel....close to Balexert... public transportation to Carouge....

You can also try the following in Plainpalais:
1. Studio House Acacias www.studiohouse.ch
2. Hotel Carmen www.geneva-hotel.ch/carmen
Both of these places are a walking distance from the University of Geneva Unimail.
