Hi
for the basic insurance check
http://en.comparis.ch/krankenkassen/default.aspx
but many thinghs depends on your current and "expected" healt; for example, if you almost never go to the doctor (like me, I went 3 times in 4 years) then an high franchise and a telephone insurance would be good for savin money on the monthly payment.
for complementary I started from past year having a different company than the basic insurance (it's allowed and could be more convenient, you can choose the cheapest basic insurance, they are all forced by law to provide the same service, and then you choose the complemetary you prefer without being limited by the offers of the basic insurance)
but it's even more personal:
can you forecast any stay in the hospital ? would you accept sharing your room with someone else ? (then you choose private/semi-private/general ward)
accidents: usually this coverage should be included in your company insurance (also for accidents happening otside work); if not you have to pay a separate one
geographical coverage: does your company accident insurance (provided you have it) cover accidents abroad ? do you travel often ? maybe an international coverage would be good.
I know it doesn't help very much but ...
Fabrizio
PS: a legal insurance would be also useful, then if you have to fight with one or more of the other insurance you give the task to the legal one ;-)

Hello you can call my broker : David : 0793729325
Good luck
Personally I have really good experiences with EGK - a smaller insurance company but very reliable, communication is fast, and they're among the least expensive (at least in Geneva). They also have several options for complementary insurance, depening on how much coverage you want.
For next year I changed to EGK-Care, their managed care basic insurance, which means I have to choose my GP from their list. I don't really mind as their list for Geneva is huge, and I pay almost 100CHF less every month...
Only downside (for some people) - no info in english on their website: www.egk.ch

What you should know is : a cheap insurance now, will be an expensive one in 2 years. The swiss health care insurance is made like this, so if you want to lose time every 2 years to look for the cheapest one, good luck.
If I may, choose one wich is stable : Groupe Mutuel, Assura, Helsana... The basic is totaly the same whatever the compagny, only complementary change. You can of course have 2 insurance : one for basic one for complementary, but I don t recommand it.
To me : the most important complementary is the one wich cover private hospital ( if you can afford it of course). On that point, Helsana hospital flex is a good deal.
For a woman, I will suggest to avoid Assura, as they don t cover pregnancy in privat hospital. If you don t mind, Assura is a good deal if you can support to pay your medecine fees gather the bill once a year and send it only when you reach the franchise. It s the good deal because the complementary price will not increase because of your age : for example in Intras, you will pay 90chf for complementary untill you re 30 and it will cost 200 at 31.
I hope this post is usefullm if you need more information, there s lot of insurance brokers on glocals but I can send you some trustfull contact.
Cheers

one last thing : don t trust to much Comparis.ch, it s just another broker. They had a clash with Helsana few weeks ago and you cannot find the price of this compagny anymore on the website.

Vanbreda is excellent if you can get it!

I have the above (SWICA). You can top up the plans as you like. Did not use a broker.
