Anyone with a car fancy a trip to Ikea on Saturday?

I've got a new flat & a shopping list, but no wheels ...

Maybe someone already has a trip planned, and has space for me & my purchases in their car??

If so, let me know ... and thanks a million!!

cheers, scotti

Can't help you with the wheels, but if you cannot get anyone's you can rent a van in Ikea quite cheap.

I rented a car for 50CHF w Patrick Location to go there - still a lot cheaper than having the stuff delivered + the train ticket

Thank you for your input!  Smile

I think I will just rent a car in the end ... probably the easiest (and cheapest).

We'll probably be renting a car to go to Ikea this Saturday, since we've got to get some baby furniture, but I'm not sure how much space we'll have. If you haven't found anything, perhaps you can drop me a line Scotti. :)

you do realise that you can order on line and have everything delivered to your door. you can also go to ikea and select what you want and have it delivered. they even take away all the packing, cartons etc. no hassle carrying up stairs or lifts etc.

Hello Epicure,

hey, that's exactly what I was wondering, actually!!

I did all my shopping online, and then was looking for the check-out function ... but instead, found only a note that said to print my list & bring it with me to the shop.  Not exactly the kind of online shopping I had in mind!

Is it possible that the delivery function from the online shopping applies only in France?  Because I live in Switz, and thus did the shopping via the Swiss location.

Otherwise, I think I'll just bite the bullet & rent a car ... Esp. as I have likely found a navigator : )

Thank you!
