Architecture Internship

Hey everyone!

I am a recent architecture graduate, I have been in Geneva for a couple of months. I basically moved in with my boyfriend who works here. I am quite desperately looking for an architectural internship, but I have had no luck yet. Looks like speaking French here is a must. I have been taking French classes for two months now. I can say that within another few months I should start speaking basic French, at least enough to get by.

Back in India, I have also freelanced in writing or proof reading. But well, my skills are rendered useless here for obvious reasons.

Any heads up? I don't want to sound ranty but having a degree but not a job can lead to some major identity crisis, I am sure some of you can identify with the feeling. Thanks for reading. :)

Hello Riya

In general most offices have open positions for interships all year long but its true that the language barrier can be a major issue.  I would suggest you to present your cv and resume along with a application letter in french.

Let me know if I can help. Greetings, Igor

Hello there ! almost the exact same problem, 4 years later. I've been trying to find a position, intership, (anything remotely related to architeture) no success at all.... I speak french almost fluently and have been working in Germany the last 2 years and tried to contact severall offices here, no reaction. Anyone who can help "getting networked"?? seems like this is the only way in...
