As of Jan 1st, you need to drive with lights on ALL the time.

As of Jan 1st, you need to drive with lights on ALL the time.

I don’t drive but I believe it is and have in fact noticed that some motorists are already putting the new rule into practice.

I should also add that I’ve appreciated this during the recent very overcast weather in down-town GE.

I'm not sure I've translated the original article correctly - it mentions "daytime running lights", and using dipped headlights if you don't have them. I don't have daytime running lights - are 'parking lights' ok for daytime driving? I can't find them referenced in the article.

No, parking light will not suffice. If you don't have daytime running lights, you should turn on the standard light ("dipped / dimmed headlights").
