Hi,
Could anybody tell me if in Switzerland there is any assurance de maladie complementaire to cover people over 60 years old who reside here? Many thanks

You could try Sanitas and Intras. Both offer complimentary insurances. But remember this is Switzerland so they will not be covering existing conditions or anything else.
I am someone who has surfed and suffered from Medical insurance here due to my ex-wife being quite ill since we arrived. As such I also explored insurances available to people who are foreign nationals. By FAR the best was offered by Van Breda (Antwerp based). I insured all of the 12 or so au pairs I have had here or in France. The prices were very very good and I know a number of people I have recommended them to have taken up policies with them.
hope it helps.
Neil

Hey Rosa,
Neil is right.
The issue with complementary insurance here is that the insurer can simply refuse to accept you, if they judge you're too risky. Or, they accept you only on the condition that any existing problems you already have and know of will not be covered.
So if you're trying to get a complementary insurance that will help you with something you know that you already have, you might have a hard time.

Hi Rosa
You can try with Helsana, supra, groupe mutuel...
the issue is after 60 years old you should be in perfect health to be accepted by the insurance...
Helsana offers a good deal but quiete difficult to be accepted by them, supra is more flexible but unfortunatly more expensive...
If you need more informations, feel free to contact me...
