I'm working with my Pillar II custodian (Rendita). They're asking for an "attestation de avoir effectué des rachats privée dans la caisse de pension au cours des 3 dernieres annees." I think it's related to buying additional "years" in my pillar II plan -- something I've never done and I've no familiarity with. I'm not quite sure what to tell them since I don't fully understand the subject. Any ideas?

You can lose some years in specific situations, for example if you get divorced and you have to pay part of your pension to your ex spouse, or if you use your pillar II to buy a real estate property or start your own business. The pension fund allows you to buy these "lost" years. If you didn't proceed with such "repurchase of years" just inform Rendita.

Thanks Alexandre. What is the French term for this "repurchase of years" process?

Rachat d'années d'assurance. There should be a provision related to this matter in the "Règlement" of your pension fund.
