Does anyone out there know why BA is stopping it's Geneva-Gatwick service between 29th March till October?
I have never done this route and seen a flight empty! Also what about all the commuters that use it at the beginning and end of the week(hubby did this till we all moved over).
I know there is easyjet, but I like BA(also i don't have to pay for my bags!!)And mini me always gets a window seat!
So if anyone knows, please tell me :D

I don't know about that particular one, but the fact that planes are full does mean that they are profitable. Airlines make money with connecting passengers on long haul flights and if there are only commuters on that one chance are that they do not make a lot of money. They may also need the aircraft for another route and decided to take this one. Call the station manager and ask!
Cheers.

I think that some of the London-Geneva routes are active only during ski season just like some flights going to beaches from Geneva are only active during the summer months.

I think you will find that BA is reducing its fleet and staff at Gatwick so it looks like GVA is one of the destinations they are cutting back on.
