BSc in Banking & Finance vs BSc in Information System Management from LSE - which to choose?

Hi all,

I'm stuck between two degrees offered at LSE, as described above.

Does anyone know, in terms of career perspectives and economic outlook, which degree would be best to choose? Personally, I'm tilting towards banking/finance, but I know these are not the best times for bankers and finance folks.

Yet as this is a degree from LSE, I suppose a well-paid job is guaranteed.

Or am I too naive?

Thanks

Ignore the money.  Do the one that interests you the most.

Being super rich isn't everything sure, but not earning enough to have a comfortable lifestlye isnt great either - so I would agree that its not always best to pick the one that pays the most, but I think its worth checking whatever you will do would lead to salary levels that you would be comfortable with.

You are more likely to be successfull at something if you are very interested in it, so I would consider that too. I don't think you should consider only interestingness or financial rewards, but both in combination.

I think the events of the last few years, couple of decades really, have shown that whatever the situation now, it's likely to be very different in 10 or 20 years time.  Your job might not exist any more, it might be taken by cheaper overseas labour, it might be completely automated, anything.
