We have had a great run with the Maman du jour. Although, a month ago she took on another baby of 7 months (including our son she now has two babies under a year and three 2 year olds and her two kids of 8 and 10 who come home for lunch) For me, the amount of kids wasn't a problem it is the fact she no longer goes outside with the kids because she can not take two babies outside safely.
Our little Mr is a happy little bub, SO much energy and needs stimulas or her gets bored. she has asked us to "train" him to be able to play on his own. He is very happy to play on his own but not doing the same thing with the same toys all day in the same environment. When I am with him we do a bit on the mat, a little bit sitting up, we take our time eating, go for walks, practice our walking, rolling on the grass and try time at the park, feed the ducks and we change activity and he stays happy. I am afraid that our maman du jour is getting increasingly frustrated with our Son because he does need the change and does need time to move and wriggle.
She compares him to the other baby who is very happy to sit in the chair all day and watch. I do not think there is any good or bad baby or that he is capable of being"naughty" I just think he is difficult when he is bored. Which make him sometimes a little energy sucker but SUPER fun when you get him entertained. I can hold him upside down and he would be happy then playing alone or watching :-) Although he is perfectly happy to watch animals, he is mesmerised by them!
He is with the Maman du jour monday, thursday and Friday although friday the other baby is not there and Thursday my husband can take him.
I search for someone for mondays 8:45 - 3.30 (and if the price is right the other days too) We can bring him to you or you can come here. I just want to make sure that he is not left to play alone and too much is expected of him. If you have enough energy or you know some one that does please let me know!
