Backpacking in CH - and I don't mean car camping.
Anybody know of any websites or sources for information on "backpacking" in switzerland. I am trying to get some things going for summer time. Looking for routes or trails . . . anything really.

I am not interested in car camping and most searches for backpacking are meant for tourists staying at huts and taking trains along the way. I am looking for the - "leave no trace" - in the middle of nowhere - on small undeveloped sites - with few people wilderness kind of backpacking.

Is this even done here?

myswitzerland.com or hostelworld.com maybe able to help but it sounds like you need to rock up to these back country towns and get something there, if you dont want the main stream type of places, but from your describtion of the back packing you want to do, going with out a plan sounds to be the best option

Here are some more links specifically for mountaineering, trails, tracks, ski itineraries, etc.

Summer and winter. I'm sure you will find something to do ;-)

How long do you want to be on the way for? 1 week, 2 weeks, more?
