Bank Charges - Safe Custody Fees going up massively. Where is cheaper?

I just got a letter from my Swiss bank:

We strive to improve...This together with changes in the regulatory environment increases our costs further.  Therefore we have decided to raise our safe custody fee from 0.30% to 0.35% and the surcharge for foreign securities from 0.10% to 0.20%.

My portfolio of mostly foreign shares will see a rise in the custody fee from 0.40% to 0.55%, or a 37.5% increase.  As many people will know shares have risen over 50% in the last few years, so I have already seen quite a rise in the custody fee I pay.  (I am not complaining about the rise in share prices, rather pointing out that my bank has already seen quite a rise in safe custody profits before this increase).

I find 0.55% to be too expensive for safe custody of foreign shares.   Does anyone have any experience of what their bank is charging, for custody of foreign shares, and can I do a better deal?
