Definitly love it here. Geneva lake is one of the highlights of Switzerland and Europe, just like the mountains, valleys and rivers, etc. It is one of the largest lakes in Western Europe.
If you look at most international maps and european maps, its called
Lac de Genève, Genfersee or Genfer See. Also most maps put 'Lac Léman' in bracket (Lac Léman) just under Lac de Genève or Lake Geneva.
Infact it is the french revived the name 'Lac Léman', certainly also Vaudoise and Valaisian prefer this :P . Call it what it is by the international norms and the 'econimic dominance' , the International organizations in Geneva, International Global businesses, that determines this norm.

Also see German maps, or swiss german maps agian Genfer See
Also in Spanish maps and all English maps
Italian maps 'Lago di Ginevra'
Even by the Savoiard / Haute-Savoie was Lac de Geneve
