Hi guys,
As a member of the Science-fiction and fantasy lovers group, I'd like to post a subject in order to find other geeky members on Glocals unaware of the existence of the group (and let's become friends !)
Video-games, as movies, sometimes have really great soundtracks. Retro-games get orchestral versions, and recent games have musics worth of the best Danny Elfman (Batman, Beetlejuice...) compositions.
Here, I'd like to share some of my favorite soundtracks.
1. Skyrim: http://youtu.be/atM3ZhF8MVs 3 hours of daydreaming, great for studying and reading on your bed.
2. Castlevania, Lords of Shadow (PS3): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=083vhdFZlHU&feature=share&list=PL2AE2A7956FCA6D9C An epic dive into dark fantasy in the Carpates.
3. Assassin's creed: http://youtu.be/3QByfthwPYU Jumping on roofs, killing people, being medieval (most of the time)...
4. Final Fantasy (Distant Worlds concerts): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-1duUKZ6Ho&feature=share&list=PL71E52C8B5FCA046F First fantasy game licence ever to have been entirely re-orchestrated into full orchester version, and having had world tours of live concerts (one upcoming soon in Paris. Can't go this time... The last was beautiful...)
5. Legend of Zelda series: http://youtu.be/6Qp-ypYp6rQ My childhood.
Anyone have other musics in a different style to recommend ?
