Well,it's pure curiosity - cancelled events are not usually advertised as such!
Also, the brunch has taken on some weird titles recently so,..........

Sorry Roger, but I don't see any point in what you're written.
you've written.
Exactly. When I said I don't see the point, I meant I didn't see the point in advertising the fact that this event was so unpopular - for whatever reason - as doing that wouldn't make anyone want to sign up for his next one.
If he was complaining about no-shows then fair enough but this was just a bizarre thread to start...
Anyway, let's hope his next brunch is well attended.

What has happened to this regular event? Has it been cancelled indefinitely?

The GVA expat bubble isn't quite as liberal and "progressive" as they like to believe.

This is Roger, just being Roger.
However, it reflects a general problem I think. Some people seem to think the events they set up are their personal events and don't understand that they are Glocals events.
We'll see what materialises. If nothing, I will set it up on a proper brunch on a weekly basis.
FYI, I will be at Cafe des Avenue at 11.00 this Saturday if anyone wants to join and perhaps we can decide how and where to continue properly

Maybe no one turned up because they thought he'd do a book reading...
Well, the ratio in Glocals is rather low. I would say 50 views for 1 person coming in general.
The trend is to have less and less people coming to activites with a few exceptions like parties. I don't know what's the reason.

because people like to get drunk...think they can pull at parties
No book readings, promise.
OK, just got back form the 'new' Brunch. Very successful and just goes to show that people respond to properly organised and sensible events.
Going forward I will post the same event weekly. ALL Glocals and friends are welcome, of course. If you are late or haven't signed up come anyway. You don't have to eat, just a coffee, tea, chocolate or juice, indeed anything you like is fine.
Look forward to seeing everyone soon.
