Buying a Treadmill

Any suggestions (where/how and not Do/Don't) on buying a treadmill (no frills other than speed and inclination) new or used so I can get fit again and imitate my life of running on the spot?! Saw one today for 1400 on sale + 200 delivery.  Looking at 1000CHF if possible. Thx.

Decathlon are a big sports retailer who sell all kinds of gym equipment, including treadmills. They have stores all over France where you can try out the equipment, google for info. Their equipment is not professional standard but is reasonably priced and fine for home use. Just bear in mind that you get what you pay for, the comfy treadmills in commercial gyms cost thousands.
