Buying in France working in Geneva - Question
Does anybody know if it is possible to work in the UN as a "fonctionnaire" international and buy a primary residence in france.

Finding the property is not the problem, it is more the practical/tax implications that are concerned.

it's totally possible. not only that, you should be able to get a French loan with a Swiss rate.

Credit Agricole is probably the most popular for mortgages and you can get loans in CHF or euros (the rates are quite different though...).

Good luck!

Hi Geraint,

Did you end up buying a property in France? I'm also interested in purchasing a property and curious to know whether you think it was worth the investment, if you did indeed end up buying a property in France.

Cheers
