Hello! If you have seen my activity posts, you'll know I am very much into charity knitting. I wanted to propose a project with a December deadline that would benefit shelter animals.
The St. Catherine shelter collects knitted rectangles measuring 10 inches by 16 inches and use these as liners to keep the adopted pets comfy in their new carriers when they get adopted and get home. I adopted a cat from there myself, and Lili appreciated her little knitted blanket while she got adjusted to her new home and we found a bed that she liked. The rectangles can be any pattern, style, or thickness. The only requirement is the length and width.
I'd be happy to collect these and deliver them to the shelter in December.
Would any of you be interested in joining me? Let me know! :D
If you can't knit, you can always donate food or supplies that the animal shelter may need, volunteer to walk dogs at the shelter during the week (It's REALLY fun!!), or adopt a furry animal yourself.
