Can Schengen Visa Issued in Russia Enter Switzerland ???

Hello all,

Can anyone please enlighten me on this issue. A friend is visiting from Russia, with Schengen Visa. First landing point is not Switzerland, meaning that there will not be any checking while flying into Zurich from any Schengen area. However, should there be any isolated control, is it allowed to enter Switzerland with a Schengen Visa issued in Russia?

Thanks for your time.

The quick answer is: yes, it is allowed.

Though the proper answer is: it depends on the kind of visa; as some visas only allow to stay in one specific country while using any other Schengen member as transit country.

I think that information should actually written in the visa; so it shouldn't be difficult to check if the visa allows multiple countries/entries, or just one single country or one single entry
