Just wondering, whether other Glocalers resist responding to requests for information where there is no "please" or "thank you"?

I'd be more concerned about omitting to put the date of Canada Day in the post, rather than anonymous online nitpicking about people's alleged lack of manners, which I'm sure was unintentional.

...wow...thanks for assuming everyone is as quick to judge as you...It took a lot of courage for me to even reach out on this site...Just did not want to spend the day alone...and stupid me, I forgot to include date as I was nervous to post...

I have posted before and got stung and am always shocked how easy it is for a complete stranger to judge unfairly...truly unfairly! I am nothing, if not kind and polite!  

You don't know what another person is going through in life! be careful as you may be kicking someone who is already down 

Try posting on The English Forum..............that's where you really receive negative responses, not here.

It’s rather late in the day but you could still try to contact the Canada Club of Geneva or click the glocals tab to find a Canadian Group.

On the courtesy issue, it’s when one is most down that the words “please” and “thanks” are fundamental.

There’s a world of difference between “Help me” and “Please help me” and the response is usually a reflection of its impact.
