Hi all, I thought i would check here in case any technically minded person might have a quick solution to a weird issue I have had for the last three days: I cannot access the glocals website from one particular pc running fully updated windows vista. The pc will access any other website without any problems, and i get the same error whether i use firefox, ie or chrome, just simply that the 'connection has timed out'.
If i run a tracert to www.glocals.com it gives me ip address [62.128.52.191] and simply reports 1. general failure. I can do a tracert to any other website without a hitch.
I can attach another pc to the same modem router and access this website so the problem is clearly pc-specific rather than a problem with my router. The firewall doesnt show any logs related to glocals (or anything at the same time that i try to access the site) Anyone any ideas what i might check? Registry doesnt show anything specific to glocals.com

Install another OS?RC of Win7? Ubuntu? XP?I don't think anyone's time so
worthless as to waste it with trying to fix Vista-problems...Yeah, sounds rude - but
so is Vista ;-)

Well thanks for that constructive comment! To be honest I use a variety of operating systems and vista is perfectly stable if not my favourite, no problems at all even though it was initially awful.
I found my solution and it had nothing to do with the operating system: I run a malware scout called 'malwarebytes' anti-malware' which is very useful for keeping the pc clean. It started automatically blocking the IP address for glocals.com calling it a 'malicious IP' since there are other sites hosted on the same server which have been found to be phishing sites. I informed Oded about it a couple of days ago.
