Car warranty extension

Hello everybody

the warranty of my car is going to expire in few weeks and can't be extended anymore; but I have got a proposal from a company called Euro Garantie / Quality1 that offers to take over the car warranty (WARRANTY, not insurance) and extend it for another year.

As this is something completely new for me I'm asking myself if anybody had any former experience with this company and can reccomend it or not.

Thank you very much for the information!

Fabrizio

In such a case why not writing to [email protected] and  ask for some references from (english speaking) clients/people located in immediate environment and beyond near Vaud and Geneva . You might even cross -exam their references by requesting them to add some dealers' names who are offering their garantie service.

Fabrizio:

I'm also keen to hear some feedback from people who used one of these companies. Let's hope someone helps us here.

Quality 1 is a well known third-party warranty. I purchased a 2-year warranty extension from them via my car OEM. My car manufacturer assured me that it has exactly the same features as the factory warranty. I didn't need to use it so far.

Hi Catalin

in the offer I received it's clearly stated that they apply a franchise of 200 CHF, that's not the case with my original warranty ... :-/

Just out of curiosity as warranty extension depends on real kilometers, make of car and model , have you questioned the other company, suissefox. of Glattbrugg ? I believe you can even taylor the extension you want.

Did you go trough your car manufacturer, or directly to the third party?

Swissfox answered they don't treat with private customers.

I went directly, as at the dealer they told me that it's not anymore ossible to extend the warranty at them; but:

last year I extended the warranty at the dealer and I paid roughly 1000 CHF but no franchise;

the offer from Quality1 is around 550 CHF, but 200 CHF franchise

how much did you pay ?
