Charities that take away furniture for free

Hello everyone,

I am doing a spring clean of my apartment and want to get rid of some furniture. Do you know of any charities that would take away my furniture for free?

I know of Emmaus but does anyone know of any other charities?

Thanks,

Louise

I think Emmaus are lovely. But you could also try putting the furniture up in the classifieds section as "free" and maybe someone would come and take it away (potentially even leaving a bottle of wine, which is what we traditionally did when I used Freecycle in the U.S.).

Good luck with your cleaning!

Dependant of their workload, you may have to make an appointment and wait a week or so before they can come to pick up your furniture.

Armée du Salut

Croix-Rouge genevoise

Women’s Shelter in Les Grottes

Put up notices in Migros and Coop
