I need a cheap hotel, breakfast not required, for two nights....
Does anyone know any little gems which are good value for money?

The three larger hotels immediately around cornavin are bookable via the easy jet website (hotel section),
When I wasnt living here and travelling on my own account I'd book via them, and it seemed to work price/quality wise.

The Auteuil is really good. I stayed here recently and it was excellent value for money. If you book through Lastiminute (or anyone that isn't EasyJet) you should get a discount too.

I stayed in the cornavin hotel right next to the station for a night ; it's hardly salubriuous but it's clean and quiet and works perfectly well for a night or two! It was pretty cheap in comparison with most of the hotels in town.
