Just to add (with thanks to Nil !!) that she has tried the home method but some of the pieces are quite intricate.

I heard that toothpaste was a good silverware cleaning product.
I used toothpaste and a toothbruh on sterling silver - I was happy with the result...

i think you can find on line an ultrasound device that will clean all types of jewellery.
it may well be worth the investment.

You can buy silver polishing cloths in most big stores, or even online.

They're pretty cheap and super useful.

experts say you should never polish silver by rubbing it because with the removal of the oxidation you also remove some of the silver. with time this will lower the value of the siver by weight.
with ultrasound you avoid this issue, and, you don't have to do any rubbing:-)

Guess your stuff won’t need cleaning then, save perhaps a little swipe with the old feather duster.
Not sure, though, that banks allow one to enter the vaults with a feather duster tucked under one’s arm. Could be considered a potentially dangerous weapon.

It may clean but it will not removes scratches or tarnish or tighten a loose stone. In case the results are not satisfactory, return the machine as I am happy to help. I have a polishing machine that will also remove sctraches and tarnishing in addition to an and industrial ultrasonic cleaning unit.
