Clock moved 1 hour forward last night
Don't forget: last night (the night between Sat March 28 and Sun March 29) the clock in CH was moved 1 hour forward.

So what was 10am yesterday, is now 11am.

.... not as such, no. What was 10am yesterday is still 10am yesterday. And what was 10 am today is still 10am today. It's just there were only 23 hours between those times.

If only the warning could have been posted 24 hours earlier; I found out about this in the worst way possible. In a bar at 1h20, about to finish a beer and order a last one. When, before I realise what's going on the owner pulls the clock off the wall and changes 'forty minutes to go' to 'you should have been gone 20 minutes ago'. No amount of arguing made him see sense. None.

I'm hoping he sticks as rigidly to the rules come October.

Well... you say that. But if you add up the number of times I have fallen into this trap and the number of years in between me being ~16 years old and now, you arrive at a remarkably similar number. I think; I haven't done the math(s) but I would put money on it being within a factor of 2. Suffice to say, it's not the first time and if experience has taught me anything, it's that experience doesn't count for shit.

Like I say, I'm going to go back in October to see if the bastard will give me my hour back. If I don't forget.

Hayes:

I like replying to you just cos I know you'll reply, and your replies always make me smile...(-:

If you're this witty also in real life, you should try stand up comedy. I mean it - your wit is sharp and based on everyday observations we can all relate to - the exact stuff of good stand up comedians...

If you're willing to give it a shot, I'm game for organising it...What think?
